We've had our second Mandarin lesson, and our 3rd corset fittings, and I've found that 1) Mandarin is very song-like; there are 5 tones, and you can affix them to a scale of do, re, mi, fa, sol. However, I can never remember which tones to do when, and EXACTLY how they sound. Mandarin is hard! 2) I've been loosing a little weight (around the mid-section) and gaining a little muscle (in my arms) from the workouts I've been doing; my corset is too big each time I fit it. That is an alteration I'm happy to make! Gonna get ripped! ;)
In other news, we are finally all settled in our new apartment, and I thought I would share it's adorableness with you all back home:
My bed, with the beautiful Indian quilt Emily bought (she loved mine so much, and I loved hers, so we traded)!
My totally awesome wardrobes (the glass has allowed me a kind of full-length mirror, score)!
My cute little desk, big window, and lizard-poop AC that I won't be turning on...
Our kitchen/living room
Full sized fridge, water boiler, dryer, dining table.
The kitchen counter, sink, and hot plate, and the "yoga nook" as we call it.
The Japanese washing machine.
The shower, where the washing machine drains to now.
Our sink (the toilet is behind the door; I didn't think you needed to see it).
Emily's room! She's got the bigger room this time, since she took the small one last time, and she's only here for another month and a half.
Nice big dresser and closet with a panoramic window (of the tropical plants outside her window).
It's quite nice, now that it's all bleached up! It's very spacious, and much quieter.
That's all for now! Off to go work on my corset some more!
This is great! I'm glad you're settling in and having a great time. I can't wait to see how sexy you look upon your return! :)
